The last municipal election once again showed that even a single council seat can determine who governs Prague. At the same time, the ANO movement is openly preparing to form a governing coalition with SPOLU. That is exactly why the Greens and Praha Sobě decided to join forces and run together. We feel a shared responsibility for Prague’s future, and we are taking that responsibility together.
The Greens have their strongest base in local government, with decades of experience and achievements, all without scandals or corruption cases. They have consistently championed a greener, more inclusive, and more welcoming Prague for everyone. They have been among the strongest advocates for reducing car traffic, expanding accessible public transport, promoting solidarity—including in housing policy—and defending equal rights for all.
Since last October, the Greens have once again been represented in the Czech Parliament. They are represented in the Chamber of Deputies by Gabriela Svárovská and Irena Ferčíková Konečná. However, they are currently absent from the Prague City Assembly—and that is something we are determined to change this year.
As a result, the Praha Sobě team has grown to include both experienced and promising new Green candidates from across Prague’s districts. In selecting Green candidates for the list, particular emphasis was placed on expertise in environmental protection and climate policy.
